Experienced Sales & Business Development professional with over 25 years of experience in the FMCG industry. I have set up distribution systems and grown small businesses to prominent positions. I have managed small to vast workforces and built, trained, and motivated cross-cultural teams.
My experience ranges from Tea plantation management, Media, Personal & Home care products, Healthcare products, and Lighting industry products.
I started my career on the tea plantations, where I managed a workforce of plantation workers and staff. The responsibilities also included tea production & tea tasting, estate discipline and welfare activities.
After a four-year stint and a two-year study leave complete my MBA, I re-joined Tata Tea in the sales & marketing department in Central India. Subsequently in 2003 I joined Henkel India as Region Head West for their Hair care division Schwarzkopf Professional (Hair Care division) and was promoted as National Head in 2006 to manage all India Sales.
After a short stint with a media company capturing audience measurement (Television viewership) I was with Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting for over a decade in three different roles, initially having handled the Modern Tarde vertical (National Key Accounts).
Subsequently I relocated to Colombo to manage the business as a Country Head for Sri Lanka & Maldives, and eventually set up Wipro Consumer Care Lanka P Ltd. as a local entity in 2018.
In my third role with Wipro Consumer, I managed the All-India Institutional Sales vertical till Mar ’23. Currently I head the Sales & Business Development for a masstige Skin care company Mitchell USA.
