ASUE traces its origins to 1930 as the Cooperative-Economics Institute. In 1975, it became the Yerevan Institute of National Economy, later evolving into the Armenian State University of Economics in 2006. The university has undergone significant modernization, including the renovation of classrooms and the introduction of new academic projects to align with contemporary demands.
ASUE is home to "AMBERD," a research center recognized among the top 100 university think tanks globally.
